Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sausage pork, turkey, or chicken
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen hash browns or diced potatoes optional

Flavor Enhancers:

  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 bell pepper diced (optional)
  • ½ cup mushrooms chopped (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme or oregano optional
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a casserole dish.
  • In a skillet, cook and crumble the sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, and seasonings.
  • Add sausage mixture, vegetables (if using), and half the cheese. Mix well.
  • Pour mixture into the casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
